Tharaka Nithi Police looking for womans attacker

POLICE in Tharaka Nithi have launched a manhunt for a suspect who stabbed a woman in Magumoni, Chuka Igambang’ombe constituency.

73 year old Florence Ciambaka was attacked at her home at around 10pm on January 17.

She had gone to feed her dog when the attacker stabbed her in the back.

Ciambaka reported the case at Chuka Police station the following day.

Tharaka Nithi police boss Johnston Ipara said Ciambaka raised the alarm prompting neighbours to come to her rescue.

“The assailant took off and disappeared into the darkness as soon as she began screaming attracting other her relatives, ” Ipara said.

He said Ciambaka was taken to Chuka Subcounty Hospital where she was treated and discharged.

Speaking to the press in his office on Tuesday, Ipara said investigations have been launched.
