Ethiopians arraigned in court

THARAKA NITHI Seven Ethiopians have been arraigned in Chuka Law Court and charged with being in the country illegally.

The foreigners were arrested on Friday in Chuka town aboard a matatu.

Abaine Daikaso 40, Ishetu Intito 23, Mangasha Handbacho, 35, Daniel Qalure 50, Degeti Mole 25, and Abdiraman Iman, 27, pleaded guilty before Chuka resident magistrate Caroline Obara.

They were fined Sh50,000 each or a one year imprisonment and deportment.

Markos Baboor, 20, denied the charges.

His case will be mentioned on February 6 and heard on February 26.
